An Ontario County man faces felony weapon charges after deputies said they found a handgun during a traffic stop Friday night.
Martin V. Galbraith, 40, of the town of Victor, was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and driving while ability impaired by drugs, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they stopped Galbraith at about 10:31 p.m. after he allegedly failed to signal and stop at a stop sign near Plastermill Road and Gateway Drive.
The sheriff's office alleged Galbraith was impaired by drugs and possessed a handgun with a magazine containing 15 rounds.
He is scheduled to answer the charges in Victor and Farmington town courts at later dates.
