Water and sewer projects in Canandaigua, Bath and Painted Post are among those approved for state grants and low-cost financing as part of a $434 million statewide package.
Canandaigua was approved for $4.8 million in low-cost financing for headworks improvements at its water resource recovery facility.
The work is intended to reduce overflows during wet weather and protect the Canandaigua Outlet.
The town of Bath was approved for a $1.2 million state grant to design and build the Lake Salubria sewer extension. State officials said the project would remove 127 failing septic systems from service and protect the lake.
Painted Post was approved for $8.2 million in state grants and low-cost financing for improvements to Well No. 4, aimed at improving water quality and capacity.
The Environmental Facilities Corp. board approval allows communities to move toward funding agreements after completing environmental reviews and other program requirements.
