The LPGA will return to Corning in 2027 after an 18-year absence, according to the Ithaca Journal. The tournament, now called The Classic, is scheduled for May 27-30, 2027, at Corning Country Club.
The event will carry a $5 million purse, among the highest for non-major LPGA events.
The former Corning Classic ran for 31 years and last appeared on the LPGA schedule in 2009.
Corning Incorporated is bringing the event back as the company marks 175 years.
Local officials said the tournament is expected to boost hotels, restaurants, shops and other businesses across the area.
