Registration is open for a free four-day youth garden program in Seneca Falls from Aug. 10-13 for children entering grades 1 through 6.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County said participants will take part in hands-on activities covering garden planning, planting, harvesting, food and nutrition, conservation, community service and art. The Cornell Raptor Program is also scheduled to give a special presentation during one of the sessions.
The program will run from 9 to 11 a.m. each day at the Seneca County Community Garden, 2 South St. If weather forces the program indoors, activities will move to the Seneca Falls Community Center at 35 Water St.
Transportation will not be provided. The program is being hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County, Seneca County 4-H, the Seneca County Community Garden and the Seneca Falls Community Center.
