E&H LLC has received a $10,000 Climate Smart Communities business mini-grant for energy-efficiency improvements at the Montour Falls Public Market, village officials announced.
The funding will support work at 251 S. Catharine St., the former Stillman's Greenhouse property, as the site is developed into the public market.
Planned upgrades include high-efficiency mechanical systems intended to reduce long-term energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, according to the village's announcement.
Mayor James Ryan said the grant will support needed improvements and help turn the property into a destination for residents and visitors. He said the project is part of the village's effort to support sustainable development.
Brian Eslingler represented E&H LLC at the grant presentation and thanked the village for the opportunity to improve the facility and contribute to Montour Falls' sustainability goals.
