Sodus Point residents are invited to an Aug. 22 public forum on the financial challenges facing village ambulance services and options for providing sustainable emergency medical response.
The Village Board of Trustees will hold the forum at the Sodus Point Fire Hall, 8364 Bay St., beginning at 10 a.m. that morning.
Village officials said the meeting will explain the current financial situation and the challenges involved in maintaining the level of ambulance response residents expect.
Trustees also plan to discuss potential options and take questions and comments from residents as they evaluate the future of local EMS services.
No decisions will be made during the forum, according to the village. The session is intended to gather community input before the board determines its next steps.
