Police said May was taken to the department for processing and then transported to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment in centralized arraignment court.

An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim, police said. No additional details about the dispute were released.

The charges are allegations. May is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
