Drivers should expect weekday lane reductions and delays on a section of state Route 14 in Yates County beginning Thursday, July 30, as crews conduct a pavement project.
The affected stretch runs from Randall's Crossing in the town of Milo to Camp Road in the town of Torrey, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, with flaggers directing alternating traffic. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 26.
Motorists should allow extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible, the department said.
Drivers are also being urged to slow down in the work zone. Speeding fines are doubled in work zones, and two or more work-zone speeding convictions could result in a driver's license suspension.
