Lake Country Players will offer an American Sign Language-interpreted performance of "Rock of Ages: Teen Edition" at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 in Watkins Glen.
Professional ASL interpreters will accompany the youth production, expanding access for deaf and hard-of-hearing audience members, their families and friends, the theater group said.
The musical is built around 1980s rock anthems and features local young performers, choreography and live theater. Lake Country Players said the interpreted show is part of its effort to make the production welcoming and accessible to more community members.
Additional performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 6, Aug. 7 and Aug. 8. The ASL-interpreted performance is the 2 p.m. show Aug. 9.
