Dodge appears ready to revive one of the most recognizable names in American muscle-car history. A short teaser released ahead of the 2026 Roadkill Nights event shows bees surrounding a drag-racing starting light before the screen shifts to black and yellow. Dodge has not officially named the vehicle, but the imagery strongly suggests that the Super Bee badge is preparing for another comeback.
Dodge Charger Super Bee
The Dodge Charger Super Bee is expected to become a new high-performance version of the latest gas-powered Charger. Dodge has already indicated that its most powerful Charger Sixpack model will be shown publicly at Roadkill Nights in Pontiac, Michigan, on August 8. A media announcement is expected one day earlier, matching the August 7 date displayed in the teaser.
Return of the Super Bee
The Super Bee name first appeared in 1968 on the Dodge Coronet. It was created as a more affordable performance car that delivered serious power without the higher price of more luxurious muscle models. The badge later moved to the Charger and returned several times, including special Charger editions in 2007, 2012, and 2023.
The most recent version was part of Dodge’s “Last Call” series for the outgoing V-8 Charger. It added drag-focused tires, adaptive suspension settings, distinctive graphics, and equipment designed for stronger straight-line performance. Those features may provide clues about the direction of the next model, although Dodge has not confirmed its final specifications.
More Power From the Sixpack Engine
The current Charger Scat Pack uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six engine producing 550 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. Dodge says the car can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds. Because the upcoming model is being promoted as the most powerful Charger Sixpack yet, it should deliver more output than the existing Scat Pack.
Reports suggest the new Super Bee could approach 600 horsepower, but that figure remains unofficial. Dodge may also add revised engine tuning, stronger cooling, performance tires, upgraded brakes, and drag-racing technology to separate it from the standard Scat Pack.
All-Wheel Drive With Rear-Wheel-Drive Capability
Every gas-powered 2026 Charger includes standard all-wheel drive, while drivers can switch to rear-wheel drive when they want a more traditional muscle-car experience. This flexible setup could help a new Super Bee combine strong launches with the tire-smoking character associated with earlier versions.
Pricing, production numbers, body styles, and availability have not yet been announced. However, the teaser makes the message difficult to miss: Dodge is using its heritage to build excitement around the next chapter of the Charger lineup.
