A Webster man was charged Sunday after deputies said he stole an action figure valued at nearly $35 from Newbury Comics at Eastview Mall in Victor.
Brian J. Canfield, 43, was charged with petit larceny and possession of burglar's tools, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest followed a shoplifting complaint at the store at 503 Eastview Mall Drive around 11:43 a.m. July 26. The sheriff's office said store employees saw Canfield conceal and steal the action figure, which was valued at $34.99.
Canfield was taken to the sheriff's office substation, processed and released with an appearance ticket.
