A Romulus man was charged after a corrections officer suffered an arm injury during a disturbance at the Seneca County Correctional Facility, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators arrested Edward L. Carter, 30, on July 23 on charges of second-degree assault and obstructing governmental administration.
The charges stem from an incident July 22. The Sheriff's Office alleged that Carter, who was incarcerated at the facility, became involved in a disturbance and refused lawful orders from corrections officers.
One corrections officer injured an arm during the incident, the Sheriff's Office said.
Carter is scheduled to appear in Seneca County centralized arraignment court to answer the charges.
