A Lyons woman faces felony robbery and other charges after deputies said she struck and choked a man and took his phone while he was trying to call 911.
Alisha G. Abbott, 38, was arrested July 18 in connection with the June 10 incident on Spencer Street, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators alleged Abbott was aided by two other people when she struck the man multiple times, injured him, choked him and ripped his shirt. Deputies said she forcibly took his phone during his attempt to call 911.
Abbott was charged with second-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
She was held pending centralized arraignment.
