A Lyons man was charged after deputies said he gave them a false name and initially prevented them from taking him into custody July 13.
Quevell C. Strong, 33, was arrested at a Holley Street home while deputies were trying to serve papers on an unrelated person, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Strong knew he had pending charges from a June incident when he misrepresented his identity to officers who were familiar with him. He then allegedly slammed the door on deputies before later leaving the home and being taken into custody.
Strong was charged with false personation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
He was processed at the Wayne County Jail and released with an appearance ticket for Lyons Town Court at 8:30 a.m. July 28.
