A Canandaigua woman faces nine charges after investigators accused her of failing to report income from creating content on OnlyFans while receiving public assistance benefits.
Shameika Brown-Junious, 34, was arrested July 17 following an investigation into a fraud referral from the Ontario County Department of Social Services, according to a news release.
Brown-Junious was charged with seven counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, along with third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny.
Investigators allege Brown-Junious failed to disclose income earned through OnlyFans between Jan. 4, 2023, and June 30, 2026.
The release said Brown-Junious would have received $17,656.58 less in Temporary Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits if she had reported the income.
Brown-Junious was held in pre-arraignment detention. She is scheduled to answer the charges at a later date in Hopewell Town Court.
