Kelly Tobin appointed to lead TC3 Foundation, advancement

Tompkins Cortland Community College has appointed alumna Kelly Tobin as chief advancement officer and executive director of the TC3 Foundation. Tobin began the job this month after more than a decade as executive director of the Cortland YWCA.

In the new role, Tobin will lead alumni relations, fundraising and private philanthropy supporting the college and its students. The foundation was established in 1978 to secure resources for expanded learning opportunities.

TC3 President Amy Kremenek said Tobin's leadership experience and connection to the college would help her communicate its impact on students and the region. Foundation Board Chair Janet Morgan said Tobin brings proven leadership and enthusiasm for the foundation's mission.

Tobin graduated from TC3 in 2001 and received the college's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2019. The New York Community College Trustees recognized her with its 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award for Civic Contribution.

She serves on the boards of Seven Valleys Health Coalition, JM Murray and the Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce.

Tobin said her experience as both a graduate and the parent of a TC3 alumna made the appointment especially meaningful. She said she plans to build relationships with alumni, donors, students and community partners to expand access to education and student support.
