Seneca Falls police are investigating reports that a man driving a white Nissan Rogue followed women in the area. The department asked anyone who encountered the driver or has information to call 315-568-4850.
The alert followed a report from the Seneca Falls Veterinary Clinic that a client was followed from Byrne Dairy to the clinic. The clinic said the woman was approached in its parking lot and was shaken enough to notify staff.
The clinic said it provided police with a license plate number, photographs and video. It later said police had located the person involved, but the clinic did not have details about the outcome.
The clinic said it shared the incident for public safety and disabled comments after inflammatory and racist remarks appeared on its social media post. It also said it did not know the reason for the encounter and hoped there was a reasonable explanation.
Police did not announce an arrest or charge in the material provided.
