Six Keuka College men's basketball players were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for the 2025-26 academic year.
Akinlana Popoola, Brennan Hopkins, Chase Welch, Kevin Felasco, Marcus Reed and Ty LaBarge received the individual honor. Keuka also earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award after posting a team grade point average of 3.08.
The Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate men's basketball players who finish the academic year with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2. The team award recognizes programs with an academic-year grade point average of at least 3.0.
AGAINST THE BOARDS: Knighthawks Return to Teal and Purple, Taylor Jensen Interview (podcast) Felasco, a graduate student studying leadership, led the six Keuka honorees with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average. LaBarge, a sport management major, finished with a 3.88 cumulative average and received the Empire 8 Torchbearer Award after Keuka's conference championship victory over SUNY Brockport.
Popoola, a marketing major and team captain, posted a 3.47 cumulative average while starting 25 games at point guard. He averaged 13.5 points per game and earned third-team All-Empire 8 honors.
Welch and Reed each finished with a 3.31 cumulative average. Hopkins completed his third season with the Wolves and appeared in 18 games off the bench.
