Waterloo man charged with DWI after village traffic stop

A Waterloo man was charged with driving while intoxicated after police said he was seen driving in the opposing lane of traffic July 9.

Waterloo police said William Parmer, 66, was stopped at about 9:55 p.m. and was found to be operating in an intoxicated condition.


Police said further investigation showed Parmer had a blood alcohol content of 0.15%. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater.

Parmer was issued uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
