A Palmyra teen was charged with trespassing after police said she entered a Canandaigua hotel’s pool area without permission.
Police arrested Baily M. Blankenship, 18, at 3:04 a.m. July 10 following a complaint at a South Main Street hotel. Investigators said Blankenship was part of a group that jumped a fence and swam in the pool despite not being hotel guests.
Police said Blankenship became verbally confrontational with staff after she was approached about the incident.
She was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and released on an appearance ticket. Blankenship is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
