Juvenile hospitalized after reported stabbing near Auburn Wegmans

A juvenile boy was hospitalized Friday morning after police said he suffered an apparent stab wound to the chest near the Wegmans store in Auburn.

Officers responded around 7:30 a.m. July 10 and found the injured boy outside the store, according to information released by the Auburn Police Department and reported by WSYR-TV.


Police were then directed to a nearby residence on Osborne Street, where three other juvenile boys were taken into custody in connection with the investigation.

The three juveniles were later released to their parents or guardians. Police have not announced any arrests.

The injured boy received medical treatment at a hospital. Authorities have not released additional information about his condition.
