One person was flown to a regional trauma center after falling from a third-floor balcony at an Ithaca apartment complex, police said. Ithaca police, firefighters and Bangs Ambulance responded July 9 to Cayuga Garden Apartments in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.
The person sustained serious injuries in the fall and was transported by LifeNet helicopter for treatment, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
Police said the cause and circumstances of the fall remain under investigation.
No additional information was released.
Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to contact the department.
