The Greater Ithaca Activities Center will host a free community cookout Saturday as part of America's 250th anniversary celebration, according to 14850. The event runs from 1 to 6 p.m. at GIAC on West Court Street.
The celebration includes food, music, games, swimming and the annual Max's Day at the Alex Haley Pool.
GIAC is also seeking donations and volunteers to help with setup, grilling, activities and cleanup.
