A West Bloomfield man was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after deputies investigated a family trouble call, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Tyler T. Rakestraw, 41, was arrested after deputies responded to 2046 Factory Hollow Road at about 9:10 p.m. July 3 for a report of physical family trouble.
Deputies said the investigation determined Rakestraw was verbally abusive and caused a physical altercation with his nephew, who is younger than 17.
Rakestraw was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
The sheriff’s office said Rakestraw was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
He is scheduled to appear in West Bloomfield Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
