Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel will present a $25,000 donation next week to T-Burg Takes On Pediatric Cancer, a nonprofit that provides direct financial assistance to New York families facing pediatric cancer.
The ceremonial check presentation is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the hotel at 16 North Franklin Street in Watkins Glen.
The donation represents a portion of proceeds from the hotel's annual Fire & Ice Celebration, held Jan. 29-31.
Hotel leadership, representatives from T-Burg Takes On Pediatric Cancer, event sponsors and community leaders are expected to attend the presentation.
The scheduled participants include David Hart, president and CEO of Hart Hotels; Lisa DeSantis, general manager of Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel; and Kyle Mosher, president of T-Burg Takes On Pediatric Cancer.
The Fire & Ice Celebration is the hotel's signature winter fundraising event, bringing together guests and the local community for ice sculptures, food, drinks and entertainment.
Organizers said a portion of the event's proceeds benefits T-Burg Takes On Pediatric Cancer and its work supporting families navigating pediatric cancer.
