Ventosa Vineyards in Geneva has released three new rosé wines for the summer season, the winery announced.
The new collection includes 2025 Dry Rosato, 2025 Salasso Rosato and 2025 Dolce Rosato, each made with a different style and winemaking approach.
Winemaker Joe Gonzalez said the releases were created in response to guests asking for rosé wine.
"Our guests have been asking for rosé wine and we're excited to finally have not just one, but three excellent rosés to share," Gonzalez said. "Each wine has its own personality and style, making it easy for everyone to find a favorite this summer."
The 2025 Dry Rosato is made from 100% Cabernet Franc and offers aromas of grapefruit, red berries and subtle green bell pepper, according to the winery. Direct crushing and gentle pressing create its salmon color, while cool stainless-steel fermentation preserves fresh fruit aromas. Six months of aging on fine lees adds richness and length to the finish.
The 2025 Salasso Rosato is made from 100% Pinot Noir and features strawberry, raspberry and subtle cream aromas. It is made using the Italian Salasso, or Saignée, method, in which juice is bled from a red wine fermentation to create a richer rosé while concentrating the remaining Pinot Noir.
The 2025 Dolce Rosato is made from 99% Pinot Grigio and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery said the sweet rosé has aromas of blueberry, raspberry and bramble, with fermentation stopped early to preserve natural sweetness before a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon is blended in for color.
The rosé collection marks a debut for Gonzalez, who joined Ventosa after serving as assistant winemaker at Weis Vineyards. Gonzalez began his winemaking career at Ventosa as a cellar intern.
All three wines are available for tasting and purchase at the Ventosa Vineyards tasting room and online while supplies last.
