Cole Swider to join Boeheim’s Army for 2026 TBT

Boeheim’s Army added another familiar face to its roster Thursday, announcing former Syracuse forward Cole Swider will compete for the alumni team in this summer’s edition of The Basketball Tournament.

Swider becomes the sixth confirmed player on the roster, joining Eric Devendorf, Jimmy Boeheim, Wesley Johnson, Elijah Hughes and Buddy Boeheim as the team prepares for its opening-round matchup.

Swider will make his Boeheim’s Army debut after spending one season with Syracuse in 2021-22 following three years at Villanova. He started all 33 games for the Orange and averaged a career-best 13.9 points while shooting 41.1% from three-point range. Since leaving Syracuse, Swider has appeared in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, and Toronto Raptors before spending the 2025-26 season with Anadolu Efes in Turkey.

Boeheim’s Army will open TBT play against Hall In, the Seton Hall alumni team, in a best-of-three first-round series. Game 1 is scheduled for July 21 at Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, New Jersey, before the series shifts to Upstate Medical Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial in Syracuse for Game 2 on July 23. If necessary, a decisive Game 3 will also be played in Syracuse on July 24. All games are scheduled for 7 p.m., with the opener airing on FS1 and the remaining games on FS2.
