The Yates County Chamber of Commerce honored several people, businesses and organizations during its 2026 Annual Dinner in Penn Yan.
The dinner was held June 10 at Climbing Bines and was presented by Lyons National Bank. The event included happy hour, dinner and an awards presentation recognizing contributions across Yates County.
"Every year, this dinner reminds us just how much heart goes into building a stronger Yates County," Chamber President Jessica Bacher said in the announcement. "These award winners aren't just doing good work. They're doing it because they genuinely care about this place."
Friends of the Outlet received the Snow Memorial Spirit Award. The award is named for former Chamber Director and Tourism Committee Chair Norman Snow and honors a business or organization for dedication to community enrichment through volunteerism, leadership, collaboration and engagement.
Dawn Shipman received the Seager Memorial Pride Award, which honors former Chamber Executive Director Emily Seager. The chamber said the award recognizes an individual whose positivity and encouragement lift others.
Kim Hughes received the Maxwell Memorial Award, also known as Director of the Year. The award is named for longtime Chamber Director Robert Maxwell and recognizes a chamber director who gives time to committees, projects and community work. Hughes is treasurer of the chamber board and director of finance at the New York Wine & Grape Foundation.
Stork Insurance Agency received the Linehan Memorial Business of the Year Award. Named for former Chamber President and CEO Mike Linehan, the award recognizes a chamber member business that goes above and beyond for customers and the community. The chamber said Stork Insurance Agency has served Finger Lakes communities since 1842.
