North Carolina woman arrested on Seneca County warrant

A North Carolina woman was arrested in Romulus last week on a warrant issued after she failed to appear in Ovid Town Court, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Lesley Howe, 50, of Zebulon, North Carolina, was taken into custody July 3 in the town of Romulus.

The Sheriff's Office said Howe had previously been arrested on multiple vehicle and traffic law offenses and was assigned a June 2026 court date in Ovid Town Court.

Howe failed to appear for that scheduled court date, and a warrant was issued for her arrest, deputies said.

After processing, Howe was turned over to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment in Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Court.
