A Macedon woman was arrested Thursday after a welfare fraud investigation in Wayne County, deputies said.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Raven Wilson, 28, of State Route 31F in Macedon, was charged with misuse of food stamps and petit larceny.
Deputies said the charges stem from an investigation by the Wayne County Department of Social Services and the Sheriff's Office in the town of Lyons.
Wilson is accused of allowing another person to use her Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program EBT card to buy food items without authorization, according to the release.
She was taken to the Wayne County Jail for processing and released on an appearance ticket. Wilson is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at 8:30 a.m. July 14.
