Groton High School’s production of the musical “Oliver” turned its stage work into regional recognition, according to The Tompkins Weekly.
The Drama Club won the Theatre as Education award at the Cortland Repertory Theater’s Pavilion Awards after building lessons around child labor and exploitation.
The group also brought home several Greater Binghamton High School Musical Theatre Awards, including Best Ensemble and Best Lead Actor for Brooklan Strange. The club’s next show will be “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” in March.
