Canva users around the world are reporting an outage with problems uploading images, media uploads failing, loading errors and design issues. The issue was reported on 2026-07-02. Canva status page is reporting a Major Outage with Media uploads. Users may have experienced “errors when uploading media to their Canva designs,” the company said, adding that its team was investigating. Outage trackers have also seen reports from users in many different countries, indicating the problem wasn’t limited to any one region. This downtime is frustrating for creators, marketers, students, freelancers and businesses. Canva is used for last-minute social media graphics, presentations, thumbnails, resumes, posters and client work. While not providing a specific technical reason for this, Canva recommends users check the official status page, and not make multiple attempts to upload until the problem is stable.

However, if users are still working in Canva, there are some temporary fixes that users can try, but they should know that a platform outage might require patience. Reload the page or app. Or try uploading from a different browser/device/network. This is a large file, please zip or upload a smaller size. Also check that the file type is supported by the user. If the project is urgent you may want to use existing Canva assets, stock images already inside Canva or a temporary design tool until uploads are restored.
