A Williamson man was arrested after Wayne County deputies said a traffic stop led to a vehicle pursuit through several towns.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Christopher Haas, 40, of East Townline Road in Williamson, was arrested after an investigation that began around 2:57 a.m. June 23 near Route 104 and Redman Road in Sodus.
Deputies said the pursuit went through the towns of Sodus, Williamson, Arcadia and Marion and involved both deputies and New York State Police.
Haas was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of second-degree obstructing governmental administration and third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer.
He was also issued citations for speeding, reckless driving, moving from a lane unsafely, improper turn and other traffic violations, according to the sheriff’s office.
Haas was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment at 7 a.m. June 23. He is due to appear in Sodus, Williamson, Arcadia and Marion town courts at later dates.
