Champps Restaurant & Bar at Eastview Mall has closed, mall officials said.
The Victor mall said the restaurant’s final day was Sunday, June 21, and that the decision to close was made by Champps.
“We anticipated the closing of Champps, and although we do not want to see them leave, we understand that this was one of the last Champps in the country still operating,” Clare Canavan, Eastview Mall’s director of marketing and public relations, said in a statement.
Canavan said the mall tried to get Champps to stay and did not raise the restaurant’s rent.
Mall officials said they are pursuing a replacement for the space but are not ready to announce one.
Eastview Mall is located in Victor and serves shoppers from across the Rochester and Finger Lakes region.
