A native planting event scheduled for Tuesday at Clute Park in Watkins Glen has been postponed because of unfavorable weather conditions.
Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association said heavy rain prevented organizers from properly preparing garden beds for planting.
The project is led by Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association in partnership with the Village of Watkins Glen and supported by volunteers from The Raymond Corporation, a Toyota group company.
Organizers said the event will be rescheduled at a later date, and a new date will be announced once confirmed.
Seneca Lake Pure Waters said it appreciates the support of volunteers, partners and community members and expects to complete the project in the future.
Updates will be posted at senecalake.org and through the organization’s social media channels.
