A two-part mug-making class in Ovid will give residents a chance to shape and glaze their own ceramic mug during free sessions at the Three Bears complex in August.
Friends of the Three Bears will host the classes from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and Aug. 19 at Papa Bear, 7175 Main St. Local artist Angela Cartwright will lead the sessions.
Participants will create a freeform ceramic mug during the first class. The mugs will be fired before the second class, when students will glaze their pieces.
The classes are free and open to the public, with all materials provided. Space is limited, and registration is available by emailing threebearsovid@gmail.com.
