Six student-athletes from Keuka College were named At-Large Academic All-District selections by College Sports Communicators, recognizing excellence in both academics and athletics across Field Hockey, Women’s Lacrosse, and Women’s Golf.
The honorees include Tori Nelson, Brianna Broadwell, Mackennah Decker, Sarah O’Brien, Lauren Vitello, and Olivia Hatch.
Nelson became the first field hockey player in program history to earn three Academic All-District selections. She started all 16 games and finished her career tied for the school record with 67 games played. Nelson is the program’s career leader with 66 points and 30 assists, and ranks tied for fourth all-time with 18 goals. She graduated in May with a degree in American Sign Language.
Broadwell earned her second consecutive Academic All-District honor after starting all 16 games in the midfield for field hockey. She posted a career-high two goals and five points this season while studying criminology and criminal justice.
Decker appeared in a career-best 15 games with 12 starts in the midfield, finishing the season with six shots. The sophomore is an occupational therapy major and earned her first Academic All-District selection.
O’Brien contributed across two sports, starting all 16 field hockey games and all 14 women’s lacrosse games she appeared in. A strong defensive presence in both, she graduated with a degree in environmental science.
Vitello, a three-year starting goalkeeper for women’s lacrosse, earned her first Academic All-District honor after becoming just the second goalie in program history to surpass 400 career saves. She is a criminology and criminal justice major.
Hatch competed in all four women’s golf events this season, recording two top-10 finishes, including seventh-place results in both the fall and spring Keuka invitationals. She has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA as an accounting major.
The At-Large Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes in NCAA sports not covered by sport-specific awards and requires at least sophomore academic standing, a minimum 3.50 GPA, and participation in at least 90% of a team’s contests.
