Farmington man charged after alleged domestic incident

A Farmington man was jailed Tuesday following a domestic violence investigation that resulted in felony and misdemeanor charges, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon A. Wolfe, 23, of Farmington, was charged with second-degree criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief following an incident at a residence on Hayride Drive.

Deputies said they responded after multiple 911 calls reporting a family disturbance. Investigators alleged Wolfe became involved in a physical altercation with his brother and placed a hand around the victim’s throat in an attempt to restrict breathing. Deputies further alleged Wolfe bit the victim’s arm with enough force to break the skin and cause multiple contusions and lacerations.

According to the sheriff’s office, Wolfe also allegedly prevented both his brother and mother from calling 911 during the incident. Authorities said the victim’s mother eventually left the residence and contacted emergency services through a neighbor.

Wolfe was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario County Jail for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
