A warrant investigation in the City of Canandaigua resulted in the arrest of a Newark woman accused of providing false identification during a traffic stop.
Rebecca Hartman, 52, of Newark, was arrested June 6 at about 6:41 p.m. on a warrant charging her with second-degree criminal impersonation.
According to police, the warrant was issued after an investigation determined Hartman allegedly provided officers with her sister’s identity during a previous traffic stop.
Police said Hartman was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
Authorities also reported that Hartman was wanted on a bench warrant issued by City of Canandaigua Court after she allegedly failed to appear in court on a previous criminal possession of a controlled substance charge.
