Penn Yan woman accused of having illicit relationship with teens

A Penn Yan woman was jailed after police investigated what they described as an inappropriate relationship involving two teenage boys.

Desiree L. Heitmann, 27, of Penn Yan, was arrested by Penn Yan Police following an investigation into incidents that allegedly occurred May 30 and 31. Police said Heitmann invited two juvenile males, ages 14 and 15, to her residence and provided them with alcohol and marijuana.

According to investigators, Heitmann is accused of touching the intimate parts of one of the juveniles and providing him with money, gifts, arcade games and meals during an outing in Canandaigua. Police charged her with forcible touching, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of unlawfully dealing with a child.

Heitmann was transported to the Yates County Jail pending arraignment through the county’s centralized arraignment process. Police said both juveniles have been referred to victim services.

The investigation remains active as officers continue reviewing digital evidence and social media communications.
