After weeks of auditions and listener voting, 101.7 The WALL has selected a new voice for its morning show.
Robert Goodell has been named co-host of the station’s weekday morning program alongside longtime host Ken Paradise after emerging as the clear favorite in the station’s “Rock the Mic” competition. Listener voting played a major role in the selection process, with fans weighing in through social media and during on-air auditions.
Station officials said Goodell received overwhelming support from listeners and ultimately earned the endorsement of a judging panel that included Paradise, Operations Manager Paul Szmal and General Manager Scott Swanson. The contest was designed to identify a new co-host for one of the station’s signature programs.
Goodell, a longtime listener of the show, said joining the morning lineup is a dream opportunity. Station officials also highlighted his enthusiasm throughout the competition, noting the extensive effort he put into preparing his audition.
Goodell will officially join Paradise on the air weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m. beginning July 13 on 101.7 The WALL.
