A rollover crash in the Town of Ovid left a Geneva man injured and facing a driving while intoxicated charge, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Anthony C. Do, 28, of Geneva, was arrested June 3 following an investigation into a personal injury crash that occurred around 8:48 p.m. on County Road 131.
Deputies said Do was driving a 2020 Subaru Forester northbound at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the roadway and entered a ditch on the west side of the road.
The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof. Authorities said Do was able to get out of the vehicle on his own, but the Subaru was totaled in the crash.
Following an investigation, deputies determined that Do had been operating the vehicle while under the influence and charged him with driving while intoxicated.
Do suffered a significant hand injury and was transported by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for treatment. After being released from the hospital, he was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for processing and issued an appearance ticket along with multiple traffic citations.
He is scheduled to appear in Ovid Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
