The City of Auburn is making a final push for sponsors ahead of the start of its 2026 Summer Recreation for Children Program later this month.
City officials announced that the program will begin June 30 and said support from local businesses, organizations and foundations has helped fund activities and events planned throughout the summer.
According to the city, several community partners have already committed sponsorships, helping offset costs and expand opportunities available to participating children.
Officials said the sponsorship deadline has been extended through Friday, June 12, to allow additional businesses and organizations to participate.
The city described the response from the community as strong and said the program is expected to offer a full slate of activities for children throughout the summer season.
Those interested in becoming sponsors can obtain additional information through the city’s recreation department.
Brian Rhodes is serving as the contact for sponsorship inquiries.
