A domestic dispute in the village of Palmyra resulted in felony-level charges after police said a man restrained a woman and damaged her property during an argument.
Dekaus L. Thomas, 39, of Market Street, Palmyra, was arrested June 4 following an investigation by the Palmyra Police Department. Authorities allege Thomas physically restricted his girlfriend’s movement inside a residence during a domestic incident.
Police said Thomas also picked up and smashed the victim’s television during the altercation. He was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Thomas was transported to the Wayne County Centralized Arraignment Part Court for arraignment.
All charges are accusations, and Thomas is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
