A Bath woman faces a felony charge after police say she violated a full stay-away order of protection in a village park.
Amanda Smith, 34, of Bath, was arrested June 4 and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a Class E felony.
According to the Bath Police Department, officers observed Smith sitting on a bench in Pulteney Square Park next to the protected party named in the order of protection. Police said Smith had previously been convicted of second-degree criminal contempt.
Smith was processed on the charge and transported to the Steuben County Jail. She was later released following arraignment.
