Bob’s Supermarket will close its doors later this month, ending a long effort to keep the longtime community grocery store operating.
In a statement shared Sunday, store manager Grace announced the closure and said staff had spent months trying to rebuild the business despite significant challenges.

She thanked employees and community members who supported the store, while acknowledging that many local residents had relied on it for groceries and everyday convenience.
The store will begin a closing sale on Monday, June 8, offering 30% off purchases made with credit, debit or EBT cards and 40% off purchases paid in cash. Fresh produce and fresh meat currently in stock are excluded from the sale.
The tentative closing date is June 20, or earlier if inventory is depleted.
The store is also selling select equipment, shelving, displays, décor and other items, with additional information about leased amenities expected to be released this week.
