The Cato Fire Department received a financial boost this week thanks to a donation from a company with ties to one of the community’s largest manufacturers, according to Green Gator News.
Steve Calderone and Aaron Carlson of Junkless Incorporated presented the donation to the department on June 4. Junkless, based in Jericho, is one of the largest customers of Nutrition Bar Confectioners in Cato.
During the visit, Calderone and Carlson toured the fire station and learned more about the department’s operations, equipment and the services it provides to the community. Fire department members thanked the company for its support and the opportunity to showcase its work.
Department officials said the contribution will help strengthen the agency’s ability to serve and protect Cato residents. They also expressed appreciation to Junkless Incorporated, Nutrition Bar Confectioners and everyone involved in making the donation possible.
