Williamson man charged with DWI after Palmyra incident

A traffic stop in the Village of Palmyra late Friday night led to drunken driving charges against a Williamson man, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Thomas Pannoni, 42, of Williamson, was arrested after deputies stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation and determined he was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Deputies also charged him with making an improper left turn onto a two-way roadway.

According to the sheriff’s office, Pannoni was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher. Authorities said he voluntarily submitted to a chemical test that measured his blood alcohol content at .14%.

Pannoni was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in Village of Palmyra Court at a later date.
