CMAC opening night expected to bring heavy traffic to Canandaigua

Drivers traveling through the Canandaigua area Friday evening should expect significant delays as CMAC kicks off its 2026 concert season with a performance by Teddy Swims.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic advisory ahead of the show, warning motorists of increased congestion around the venue before and after the concert. Parking lots will open at 4:30 p.m., gates at 6:30 p.m., and the show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Authorities are encouraging concertgoers and area residents to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted traffic patterns around CMAC.

Deputies also urged drivers to use caution because of increased pedestrian traffic near the venue throughout the evening.

Additional concert-related traffic is expected Saturday, June 6, though officials said delays are anticipated to be lighter than those expected for opening night.
