Thompson Health is expanding its grief support offerings this month by holding two support group meetings instead of the traditional single monthly session.
The support groups are open to community members coping with the death of a loved one and are designed to provide a welcoming space for individuals navigating the grieving process.
The first June meeting is scheduled for June 12 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the George M. Ewing Jr. Conference Room on the ground floor of the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at Thompson Hospital. A second meeting will be held June 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Sands Conference Room on the ground floor of the Thompson Professional Building.
Both meeting locations are situated behind the hospital and can be accessed via The Thompson Way, a private drive off West Street just south of The Eye Care Center.
Thompson Health officials said the additional meeting is intended to better accommodate community members with varying schedules. The grief support groups are available to anyone who has experienced a loss through death.
